Valamis publishes its sustainability focus areas

December 3rd 2020. Joensuu. Valamis takes its sustainability to the next level by making a commitment to five sustainability focus areas. Valamis has long advocated reskilling and upskilling as a socially and economically sustainable way to build sustainable businesses. This December Valamis commits to systematically develop sustainability across all aspects: environmental, social, and economic.

Upon its founding in 2003, Valamis established four core values that have shaped the company and are present today: Responsibility, Sense of Community, Development, and Customer Focus.

Valamis has recognized sustainability as a crucial consideration that touches upon all of our values. By making learning accessible and scalable to more people digitally, Valamis can take part in building more sustainable businesses and societies.

Aligning closely with the UN’s Sustainable Development goals (SDGs), Valamis has prioritized and committed to the following five focus areas in sustainability:

  1. Learning belongs to everyone
  2. Dematerialization & emission savings
  3. Sustainable and humane work and business
  4. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
  5. Responsible use of data and AI
