Highlights of 2014
During the past year we have done several successful projects for example to S Group, CSC, Metsähallitus and National Institute for Health and Welfare (you can read more of our projects from here). Furthermore, we have achieved the Platinum Partner Status with Liferay and won the international Liferay Marketplace App contest for the second time a row. The results of the great year can also be seen in our turnover. This year we were noticed for the fourth time in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Finland – listing. Like last year, this time we again ranked on the 12th place.
The wellbeing of our employees
Our successful year would, however, not be possible without our professional and committed personnel. Thus, we have paid ever more attention to the wellbeing of our employees. During this year we have been happy to be noticed in the Great Place to Work listings. We have been among the best workplaces both in Finland and in Europe.
The past year has also been a time of cherishing our sense of community. One of the definite highlights of our year has been the process of making our own Internet & ATK beer. Some of the memories from the beginning of the project can be seen in the video.
Season’s Greetings
As a Christmas challenge, we also collected money for charity by climbing up the stairs instead of using the elevator. The total number of the climbs during the December was 5133 stairs. Valamis donated 5 cents of each of the climbs to the charity. This totaled in 256,65€ which was donated to Joensuun Turvakoti.
